Federico Grinberg has announced his decision to step down as Better Collective’s VP of Global Sports Media.
Grinberg’s professional journey spans over two decades. He began in web development in 2000 before moving into online advertising and marketing during the mid-2000s. By 2006, he became Marketing Manager at Telehispanic Services, followed by a similar role at Viva en Australia in 2007.
In 2008, he joined Harrenmedia as Director of New Business Development and, the following year, co-founded Futbol Sites, where he also served as Managing Director. In 2014, he was appointed CEO of Futbol Sites, leading the company for 11 of his 16 years there.
After Playmaker Capital acquired Futbol Sites in 2021, Grinberg transitioned to the role of EVP at Playmaker. The acquisition trail continued when Better Collective purchased Playmaker in February 2024, bringing an end to his EVP role. By May 2025, he was appointed VP of Global Sports Media at Better Collective, concluding his long-standing tenure as CEO.

Today I want to share that I’m closing my chapter at Better Collective & Futbol Sites. Twenty-six years ago, when Nahuel and I met and dreamed of a web project, we never imagined it would grow into what Futbol Sites became. It was a long, challenging, and emotional journey. There are hundreds of people I could name and thank, but leaving even one out would be unfair. So instead, I want to extend a huge thank you to each of you reading this post. Â
To the advertisers who believed in us early, to the partners and vendors who supported our growth, and to the partners who joined through acquisitions, thank you. Most of all, to the hundreds of employees who worked with passion, loyalty, and commitment, many of whom became lifelong friends: you made this a family, and that’s why Futbol Sites was a success.Â
Thanks as well to Playmaker Capital for a unique experience, and thanks to Better Collective for the warmth and respect I received. Now it’s time to pause, recharge and focus on new goals and ideas. The best is yet to come.
